“Teleconferencing makes things done” for RIATG Region XII members

DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, showed her commitment to tackle the issue head-on regarding the management of deceased Covid-19 victims via another schedule of video conference attended by members of the Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) cluster for Covid-19 headed by the DILG.

The online meeting on April 8 was attended by the PNP, BFP, DOH, AFP, DSWD, OCD, Philippine Red Cross, Governors of the provinces in Region XII, City Mayors of Gen. Santos City and Cotabato.

Regional IATF to LGUs: fast-track MOA with funeral parlors, crematoriums

The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 and the Regional Inter-Agency Task Group (RITG XII) have given directives for all its Local Government Units to fast-track their Memorandum of Agreements with funeral parlors and crematoriums.

Region-wide ECQ in Region XII extended till April 30

The Regional Inter-Agency Task Group (RITG-XII) and the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on CoVid-19 have pushed and approved the extension of the enhanced community quarantine until April 30 for the whole of Region XII in a bold move to stamp out coronavirus.

In a virtual meeting held on Tuesday, April 7 which was attended by regional directors of various government offices, provincial chief executives and other line agencies, the extension was considered due to the spike in CoVid -19 positive cases as monitored by the DOH. At the time of the meeting which began around 9 in the morning on Tuesday, DOH XII has recorded 10 positive cases.

Field Officers warned: Wearing Masks is now a Must

DILG XII Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III issued a cautionary warning to all the field officers and personnel of the Department to start wearing face masks whenever they are out in public places from April 6 to last even until after the quarantine period.

The instruction was in line with the memorandum dated April 2 which calls for the observation of precautionary measures prescribed by the DOH while at work, leaving and going back home and more so, when availing home essentials. The memo was signed by DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano.

Virtual Meeting is In as DILG XII holds its First Teleconference

Modern technology proved to be helpful for DILG XII as the strict implementation of social distancing even among government workers is strictly being observed and adhered to. “Thanks to this available app and we were able to have our virtual meeting despite the distance of each participant,” said Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, who presided over the online conference.
