A total of 55 Regional and Provincial engineers from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII and technical personnel from the four provinces in the Region underwent training on Material Testing and Quality Control (MTQC) to ensure quality delivery of road services in the Region.

 

Through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), DILG XII facilitated the four-day blended (virtual and face-to-face) workshop last May 4 to 7, 2021 “to equip key players with knowledge and skills on material testing and quality control” to ensure that infrastructure projects implemented in various local government units (LGUs) are of standard quality.

More than thirty (30) regional directors and assistant regional directors from various national line agencies are now looking forward to receive the second dose of Covid-19 Vaccine as they mark their fifteenth day on June 8.

These executives had been recipient of the first dose of the Chinese-made Covid-19 vaccine on May 25, which was intended for those who are in the A3 priority list. DOH has outlined that these vaccines should only be given to health workers (which belonged to the A1 priority group), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (people with comorbidities.) Region XII RDs and ARDS under A3 took their shots at the KCC Mall of Marbel Events Center in Koronadal City last May 25.

DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, has once again reiterated her crusade to all DILG XII employees and personnel to strictly observe minimum public health protocols, especially while at work, to avoid the risk of being infected with Covid-19.

In her regular briefers via the Viber and Messenger Group Chats, she called on all division heads and field officials to take heed of the warnings as health authorities in the Region also renewed their call to the public “to refrain from doing non-essential travels and attending social gatherings and to strictly follow the minimum health protocols to prevent the rise of COVID-19 cases”.

“A victory for President Roxas…”

This is how DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, described the latest projects of the Department of the Interior and Local Government as they were turned over to the LGU of President Roxas on March 25.

In her message, she emphasized that the municipality is one of the chosen localities in the region to receive such projects. The director also appreciated the LGU’s effective implementation of the projects and challenged each official to continue the good practice.
