DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido – Leysa spearheaded the turn-over of the Php 13 Million worth concrete access road to LGU of Magpet, Cotabato Province on April 5, 2021.

In her message, Regional Director Leysa commended the LGU’s fast and successful implementation of the concrete access road linking Barangay Pangao-an to Barangay Manobisa in the said municipality. She highlighted the Department’s commitment to capacitate and work alongside with the LGUs, as it aims to provide functional projects based on the needs of the residents.

DILG XII celebrated this year’s women’s month with a twist through its Café Juana, a virtual and real coffee shop, which showcased series of weekly virtual talks dubbed as “Serye sa Dose: Babae Pambihira Ka #Pag-On”.

The month-long activity started with a ceremonial cutting of ribbon and showcasing of Café Juana during its kick-off activity last March 8.

Gender and Development Focal Point System Technical Working Group (GFPS-TWG) Members of DILG XII conducted the first quarter meeting last April 15, 2021 using a blended approach at 88 Hotel, Gensan Drive, and via the Zoom Platform. The members are composed of internal members which are personnel from different divisions of DILG Regional Office, external members which are LGCDD personnel and Provincial Focal Person and their alternates.

On March 1-4, 2021, DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III and Assistant Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESO V, led the Region’s CDP team during the “Coaches’ Training for the Enhancement of the Risk-Informed Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP+)” of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

“Persistence pays off.”

That is how DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, summed up all the efforts of the local government units which had never gave up on submitting proposals and requests for funding for any project which are deemed beneficial to the community. One of these towns is the Municipality of Tantangan which formally received a P20-million public market project on March 29, 2021.
