The Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on Covid-19, composed of various regional offices in Region XII, has met up with the local chief executives of Lake Sebu and Surallah in South Cotabato on April 6, 2022 for the first day of the ‘Face-to-Face Forum with LGUs on the Status of Covid-19 Vaccination and VAS Line list submission’ or the “Immersion Program Part II”.

For Lake Sebu and Surallah, DILG XII RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III was joined by ARD Lailyn A. Ortiz and the South Cotabato team, along with RD Akmad Usman of DBM XII, DTI XII RD Jude Constantine Jaugan, OCD XII ARD Jerome Barranco, PIA XII RD Ms. Cathy Apelacio and IPHO South Cotabato Dr. Rogelio Aturdido, Jr.

DILG XII recently conducted a much-needed retooling and refresher workshop for DILG field officers and EODB provincial focals on the Ease-of-Doing Business Program of the Department on April 20, 2022 at Greenstate Hotel, Koronadal City. This initiative is in line with the Department’s continuing improvement of LGU service delivery for compliance of LGUs.

That is how DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III described the formal launching and signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the institutionalization of the CSO Academy of Soccsksargen, considered to be the first learning institution in the country created purposely to “capacitate civil society organization (CSO) leaders” who play important and major roles in local governance.

To equip the skills and competencies of potential LGOO II apprentices for the 54th Batch of Apprenticeship Program, the DILG Rehiyon Dose conducted the General Orientation for its prospective 54th Batch of Apprentices for the Local Government Operations Officers (LGOOs) II and III. To show its valuable support to the apprentices, the DILG XII Regional Management Committee strategically planned out the conduct of the General Orientation.

The activity served as the opening number for the NWMC event on March 21 with the introduction of additional, newly discovered singing talents from the regional office. Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) Chief Musarapha A. Alim, delivered the message from Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III which calls for women “to appreciate each other’s worth, and to be aligned, inspired by, and collaborate for the good of all.”
