The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII is set to formally receive its bronze award for exemplary performance in human resource management from the Civil Service Commission XII this March.

“To recognize the efforts of the Office, especially the Human Resource Team and committee members who contributed to this success, we are pleased to have a regional awarding ceremony this March 2021,” CSC XII Regional Director Resurreccion P. Pueyo stated through a letter to DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III early this year as the Commission Director confirms to confer the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award to the Department.

In preparation for the CY 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) with a theme “We Make Change Work for Women: Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!”, the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) XII conducted its 1st Quarter Meeting via zoom video conference recently.

RGADC XII Chairperson/ DILG XII Regional Director, Josephine Cabrido- Leysa, CESO III, highlighted a quote from Purnina Mane which states, “A world full of empowered women isn’t one where men are marginalized. It’s a world where everyone thrives.”

These are the words written centuries ago, around 900 BC as a commentary on the Book of Deuteronomy.

Fast forward to the first few weeks of 2021, just in time for the setting of direction for the whole of DILG XII and the same comment about the Book of Deuteronomy was also posed by RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III to fellow RD Julian Jovian Ingeniero of Region VI.

DILG Western Visayas and its LGRRC is the topnotcher when it comes to performance, innovation and consistency, among others. Year in and year out, they stand out from among the rest of LGRRCs in the country.

SOCCSKSARGEN Region is set to receive Php 1.24 billion from the Php 16.4 billion barangay development fund allotted by the national government for the implementation of the Executive Order No. 70 this year.

Also dubbed as the Whole of Nation Approach program, EO 70 aims to end communist-armed conflict in the country.

A total of 62 barangays in the Region originally cleared and identified by the National Task Force – End Local Communist-Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) for CY 2020 will receive Php 20 million each as support to barangay development programs (SBDP) under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

Members and prime movers of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) have basically set the course for 2021 in a recently held Program Assessment Cum Convergence Meeting at the Green Leaf Hotel in Gen. Santos City. In attendance were the city and municipal local government officers, partner agencies, local government units and the LEO 70 focal persons.
