The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Regional Office 12 recently concluded the National QMS Internal Assessment scheduled last November 4 – 6, 2024 to determine the extent of DILG’s compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standards and applicable legal requirements.

 

QMS Assessment Head Atty. Salvacion Z. Baccay, CESO V, facilitated the General Opening Meeting and presented the assessment objectives and schedules as well as the QMS Assessment Teams. The meeting was attended by DILG Top Management, Regional and Deputy QMRs, QMS Secretariats, QMS Assessment Teams, Process Owners and Field Officers from all DILG offices nationwide.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) EODB Focal Persons, together with the Departments’ concerned field officers, conducted the Onsite Documentation/Validation of the LGU RISE Best Practices of the three LED Model LGUs on October 22-23, 2024 at the local government units of General Santos City, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato and Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

Barangay officials, including the Punong Barangay, Sangguniang Barangay members, and Barangay Secretaries, along with representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across 14 selected barangays, took part in an intensive training program on October 22-25, 2024.

The training, held at the DreamWeavers Hotel in Koronadal City, aimed to develop key local governance plans, including the Barangay Development Plan (BDP), Capacity Development Agenda, and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (BDRRMP). This program provided participants with essential tools and collaborative workshops to strengthen planning processes within their communities.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII celebrated the achievements of its local government units and partner stakeholders during the annual Pasidungog sa Dose last October 31, 2024, at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

Pasidungog sa Dose is the DILG Dose's recognition program for LGUs, partner agencies, civil society organizations, and learning research institutes for the profound impact they have made in pursuit of a brighter future for their constituents.

During the activity, nine outstanding national government agencies and 51 distinguished LGUs were recognized for their excellence in governance, program implementation, and innovation.

The Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) successfully wrapped up the second batch of "Engineering for Non-Engineers" (EFNE) training for Local Project Monitoring Committees (LPMCs) from selected Local Government Units (LGUs) in Region XII, held from September 26-27, 2024, in General Santos City.
