Civil Society Organizations ( CSOs) from the different parts of the region joined the First Episode of Dagyaw 2023 Open Government Town Hall Meeting on June 30, 2023 in Koronadal City. 

Through the Dagyaw, participants were able to air their sentiments, raise their concerns and give suggestions in co-opting CSOs in the development process.

DILG Rehiyon Dose RD Josephine Cabrido- Leysa, CESO III has extended her congratulations once again to the six (6) apprentices who passed the Comprehensive Examination (CEX) which was administered on July 8, 2023 as part of the requirements for the Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs II and III. The training ran from June 3 to July 9.

Hinimok ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang lahat ng local government units (LGUs) na magpatupad ng mga programa na nagsusulong sa karapatan ng mga kababaihan at pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian sa kanilang nasasakupan, sang-ayon sa Republic Act 9710 o ang Magna Carta of Women.

“As active agents of the government in promoting gender equality, our LGUs must ensure the localization of the Magna Carta of Women to ensure that women empowerment is recognized and mainstreamed in all sectors,” ani DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. sa 18th General Assembly ng Philippine Federation of Local Council of Women (PFLCW).

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. lauds DILG-Region 12 (R12) for extending the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) campaign’s advocacy to airport passengers through the launch of Bantala Sang Dose at the departure area of the General Santos City International Airport.

“I would like to commend DILG-R12 for collaborating with CAAP to further the advocacy of the BIDA anti-illegal drugs campaign. Malaki ang maitutulong nito sa pagpapalawig ng kaalaman ukol sa BIDA at sa paghihikayat sa mga mamamayan na suportahan ang programang ito,” Abalos said.

DILG SEC. Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr , graced the formal launching of the "Bantala sang Dose" on June 25, 2023 at the departure area of Gen. Santos City International Airport. He was joined by DILG XII RD Josephine Cabrido- Leysa, CESO III, PNPRO XII RD PBGEN Jimili Macaraeg, FCSUPT Alven Valdez, Napolcom XII RD Rodel M. Calo, represented by Atty. Michelle Ann P. Viejo and Gensan City Jail Warden JSUPT Reuben D. Olivo, representinng RD JCSUPT Leo P. Baldon.
