The Department of the Interior and Local Government has officially launched the National GAD Seal Certification Program last March 22, 2023, in a simple yet well-attended ceremony at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City and was graced by the Department’s undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, and the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), Regional GAD Committee (RGADC) XII member agencies, Local Chief Executive of General Santos City, Hon.
The DILG’s Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS), in partnership with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), conducted a : “Seminar-Workshop on Engineering for Non-Engineers for DILG and DTI Field Officers/Personnel” from March 20 – 23, 2023, the delegates where from DILG and DTI personnel from Regions 8 to 13 .
The DILG Rehiyon DOSE, with the DILG South Cotabato, and Koronadal, joined the Launching of the Halina't Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay Project Part II/ KADIWA ay Yaman/Plants for Bountiful Barangays Movement (HAPAG KY PBBM) today, March 01, 2023, at Barangay Caloocan, City of Koronadal.
The HAPAG sa Barangay Project is one of the government's thrust of addressing hunger and ensuring food security in the country. It aims to strengthen the capacities of barangays towards sustainable agriculture initiatives such as barangay community gardening.
As part of its effort in strengthening its internal organizational capacity, the DILG South Cotabato headed by PD Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, EnP once again conducted an Orientation and Updating of 2023 DILG Deliverables and Various Assessment Tools cum Strengthening of LPOC Secretariat on February 15-16, 2023 at Cinco Ninas, City of Koronadal.
The two-day activity which was attended by the C/MLGOOs, and their Staff aimed at providing the latest updates on the DILG PPAs, and on how to use various local government assessment tools.
