DILG-accredited Civil Society Organizations and Local Research Institutes were also tapped as validators to maintain a balanced-perspective in the conduct of the assessment. Pursuant to the aforementioned Memorandum Circular, the regional assessment phase shall run from the first week of May to the third week of June 2024. This phase encompasses the following activities: data gathering and certifications, document review and on-site validation, regional quality check and calibration, and data entry and shortlisting.
All shortlisted LGUs from the regional assessment will proceed to the SGLG national validation, with validation results presented to the Council for Good Local Governance (CGLG). All SGLG passers will be conferred with an SGLG marker in a ceremony organized by the CGLG, and they will also be entitled to receive the SGLG Incentive Fund.
