The Department of the Interior and Local Government XII, through the initiative of Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, conducted the Online Roll-out of Response and Management Protocols for COVID-19 Pandemic on October 15, 2020 via zoom application. The activity was attended by a total of ninety three (93) participants who are all members of Local COVID-19 Task Forces. The participants were composed of some LCEs, and predominantly of LDRRMOs and LESUs.
“Republic Act 9710 or known as “Magna Carta of Women (MCW) mandates the State as the primary duty- bearer to uphold women’s human rights including all agencies, departments, offices, and instrumentalities at all levels.“ This was strongly emphasized by Regional Development Council- Regional GAD Committee (RDC- RGADC) Chair, DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido- Leysa, CESO III, during the “1st Regional GAD Forum for RGADC XII Members“ held via Zoom teleconference on the 23rd of September 2020, which was primarily aimed to further strengthen the regional efforts on mainstreaming gender perspectives into the processes, policies, and programs and projects.
Employees and personnel of the Department of the Interior and Local Government XII joined various local government units across the country in celebrating the annual Local Government Month this October.
The DILG Regional Office XII officially kick-started its month-long celebration on October 12 with the unveiling of its Local Government Code booth located at the DILG Regional Office lobby, Prime Regional Government Center, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

Municipal recipients of the national government’s Assistance to Municipalities and Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig para sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) programs in Region XII will now have to establish and operate a functional website, according to the programs’ 2020 guidelines.
Representatives from the DILG – Office of Project Development Services (OPDS) explained that the requirement was included in the 2020 guidelines of both locally-funded programs, consistent with the Department’s Full Disclosure Policy.
