DILG XII Gathers SGLG RAT and SUB-RAT an a Coordination Meeting

Members of the Regional Assessment Team (RAT) and the Sub-RAT from the four (4) Provinces of the Region gathered for a coordination meeting on March 4, 2019 at Paraiso Verde, Koronadal City.

The activity is in line with the Region’s preparations for the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) program implementation and aims to discuss and gain meaningful insights from last year’s implementation to further strengthen program strategies, maintain common appreciation and understanding of the SGLG criteria, and the delivery of assistance to local government units by providing recommended courses of actions for unmet criteria.

DILG XII Conducts Operation LISTO: Regional Orientation and Disaster Resilience Dialogue

The Department of the Interior and Local Government XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido - Leysa led the conduct of the Operation L!STO: Regional Orientation and Disaster Resilience Dialogue on March 6, 2019 at the Narra Hall, Paraiso Verde Resort, Koronadal City with the presence of various DRRMCs and other stakeholders. The DILG, being the Vice Chair for Disaster Preparedness, puts premium on disaster preparedness, with the local chief executives being the “frontliners” during such occurrences.

National Women’s Month Celebration kicks off with bloodletting and healthy lifestyle lecture

As a way of showing support to the observance of the National Women’s Month, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office XII under the leadership of Ms Josephine Cabrido - Leysa, spearheaded various activities as part of the opening salvo of the celebration.

A lecture on healthy lifestyle was given by Nutrition Officer Leah Fe Utlang from the Provincial Nutrition Council XII to encourage all the DILG XII employees to opt for a healthier, productive and happier life. Utlang said that ‘everyone can make a choice between being healthy and otherwise’ and that they can start with ‘mind-setting’ for better health.

DILG RO XII director lauds South Cotabato Gov's SOPA, CMGP implementations

Koronadal City- Newly installed DILG XII Regional Director Josephine C. Leysa commended Governor Daisy Avance-Fuentes’ efforts of reaching out to the far-flung communities in South Cotabato through its various programs.

Director Leysa described the provincial government’s campaign as ‘commendable’ as ‘it allows people to have access the various government programs and services’. Leysa’s reaction came as Governor Fuentes delivered her third State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Monday, February 18, 2019. Through the SOPA, the governor was able to outline her major accomplishments for 2018 before the jam-packed crowd at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.

CDP CONTENT: Assessment for Cities of Cotabato and General Santos

In line with the CDP Assessment for HUCs and ICCs held last December 18-19, 2018 at DILG XII Conference Room, the DILG XII conducted another round of assessment on January 30, 2019 at Paraiso Verde Resort, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

The activity aimed at conducting a thorough evaluation on the very content of the CDP. Specifically, it focused on the quality of the substance, consistency to the prescribed CDP guidelines and alignment to regional strategic priorities.
