The Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) is an incentive given to Local Government Units that exemplifies excellence and effective governance. In the recently conducted 2018 SGLG National Awarding Ceremony, a total of nine (9) LGUs of Region XII were awarded with the Seal of Good Local Governance making them eligible to receive a PCF.

On October 18- 19, 2019, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, in collaboration with National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) XII and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XII, successfully conducted the “Regional Orientation and Workshop on the Formulation of Provincial Results Matrices” at Venue 88 Hotel, General Santos City.
In compliance to Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2018-01, a 3-day Training-Workshop and Coaching on Streamlining Building Permits and Certificates of Occupancy for LGUs was conducted and facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII – Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) together with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Building Official of General Santos City and the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), held at the Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City on October 26-28, 2018. The activity aimed at capacitating the target LGUs in the adoption of the aforementioned Joint Memorandum Circular.
Five (5) LGUs with delayed project implementation recently attended the coordination meeting conducted by DILG XII – Project Development Management Unit at the DILG XII Conference Room, Prime Regional Government Center, City of Koronadal.
Said activity was held to discuss the reasons for delay of implementation and seek solutions to ensure that all Locally-Funded Projects under DILG-OPDS covering FYs 2012-2016 must be completed by 31 December 2018.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government XII recently trained the seven pilot local government units, namely; Arakan, Magpet, Makilala, Polomolok, Tupi, Bagumbayan, and Libungan in the formulation of the Enhanced Local Climate Change Action Plan (E-LCCAP). The LCCAP Core Team composed of the MPDC, MENRO, MDRRMO, Municipal Agriculturist, Municipal Engineer, MLGOO and IT Expert were the participants of the activity. The core team is tasked to spearhead the updating/formulation of the ELCCAP with coordination to the key local officials and other stakeholders.
