The Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) is implemented by the Department (DILG) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in partnership with the United Nations Development Projects (UNDP) and the PLGUs. This project aims to address underinvestment in local roads, to increase the access of the rural population to services and economic opportunities, to improve road safety of provincial roads and to reduce travel cost and time by improving local road information management, public financial management, and procurement.

On November 14-15, 2018, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office XII conducted the Retooling of Regional Office Personnel and Field Officers at Paraiso Verde Hotel & Resort, Koronadal City Cotabato.

The activity was spearheaded by Regional Director Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV and Assistant Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESE.  The participants were the Divisions Chiefs, Assistant Division Chiefs, Provincial and City Directors, Municipal and City Local Government Operation Officers (C/MLGOO), and all the Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) V and VI in Region XII.

The DILG, having been tasked by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to lead the advocacy campaign towards the shift to federal form of government, is conducting federalism roadshows nationwide.

Four (4) members of the Consultative Committee, Atty. Susan Ubalde-Ordinario, Atty. Ferdinand Bocobo, Atty. Randolph Parcasio, and Prof. Eddie Alih, shed light on the concerns about federalism that are singular only in region XII.

The Roadshow started with a Media Forum on the 29th of October 2018, held at the Microtel, General Santos City. This was attended by media personalities from different radio stations and media outfits within the region.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region XII joined the ARDE XII and CHED RO XII Serbisyong CESO, Kalibre 45 Community Passion (Com PASSION) Project  “Puso para sa Mamasapano” an Outreach Program last October 26, 2018 at the Municipality of Mamasapano, Maguindanao. CAO, Dennis T. Sucol together with AO IV/ Supply Officer, Allamen Tom S. Pangilamen, Clerks, Marielle Joyce S. Tuble, RPm and Chantal Faye H. Barrientos assisted in the gift giving activity to the under privileged and financially challenged Elementary and High School Students of the place. A total of 500 school supplies were given to the students.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, in coordination with the Office of Civil Defense, conducted the three-day training on the Basic Incident Command System on October 24-26, 2018 at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City.

Thirty three (33) DILG organic personnel from the Provincial Offices and the Regional Office toiled to pass the BICS and now eligible to proceed to the level two, Integrated Planning. These personnel are those who are, in one way or another, involved in the DRRM-CCA program implementation and possess the right skills to comprise the Regional IMT or become Incident Commanders when the situation requires per assessment of the regional management.
