Pursuant to Proclamation No. 227 setting March of every year as "Women's Role in History Month", our country will be commemorating the annual National Women's Month Celebration (NWMC) on March 2023 with the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”.

In addition, the country also celebrates the Girl Child Week and the Women with Disabilities Day within Women's Month. Thus, the RGADC XII chaired by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII enjoins everyone to support the celebration.

The Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) XII – Regional GAD Resource Pool (RGRP) Screening Committee is now accepting applications for the Regional GAD Resource Pool (RGRP) Batch 2. The Screening Committee is looking for GAD experts with the following GAD Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in Gender and Development engagements
  • Sectoral Expertise
  • Availability to handle GAD Technical Assistance
  • Availability to attend the leveling sessions

The DILG Rehiyon Dose's two (2) divisions namely, the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) and Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), conducted on February 8, 2023 an online orientation on Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and Support to Barangay Development Program FY 2022 and 2023 to its target LGUs.

The said activity was attended by the different LGU components, barangay beneficiaries, concerned agencies, and DILG XII key officials. The goal is to "prepare the LGUs, assist the Barangays in developing their Barangay Development Plan (BDP), and capacitate LGUs and their respective CSP Core Teams."

SOCCSKSARGEN Region made it to the top tier of regions from all over the Philippines to have 100% compliance of all Local Government Units in Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH). This was bared today by DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, in a meeting with the regional ExeCom. “My warmest congratulations to all of our 53 local government units in Region XII which were declared Passers Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) for CY 2022. It is a great honor to have achieved such, thanks to the perseverance and the tenacity of our field officers,” RD Leysa announced.
