DILG XII Showcased MDM Capabilities during the 2025 4th Quarter NSED Full Scale Simulation Exercise in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat

Lebak, Sultan Kudarat (November 6, 2025) — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII demonstrated its disaster response capabilities during the 2025 fourth-quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) full scale simulation exercise held in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat.

The full scale simulation exercise, organized to test operational readiness in managing casualties and missing persons, among other response clusters, activated the region’s Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) Cluster, which was rigorously evaluated using a structured assessment tool developed by the Department.

SOX Peace Wemboree 3.0 Empowers Youth as Catalysts for Peace and Resilience

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, under the leadership of Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, successfully concluded the SOX Peace Wemboree 3.0, a two day youth convergence held in celebration of the 34th Local Government Month.

With the theme “Peaceful Communities are Resilient Communities,” the event gathered young leaders from across SOCCSKSARGEN to champion peacebuilding, social inclusion, and community resilience through collective action.

DILG XII Bolsters Inter-Agency Synergy for Peace and Development in 3rd JRTF–ELCAC Led- Cluster Meeting

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, under the leadership of Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, successfully convened the 3rd Quarter Joint Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (JRTF–ELCAC) DILG-Led Cluster Meeting on October 28, 2025, at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City.

The activity gathered 23 out of 35 cluster members, underscoring the government’s continuing commitment to peacebuilding, reintegration, and sustainable local development in SOCCSKSARGEN through the Whole-of-Nation Approach.

AUDIT OF LGU COMPLIANCE ON EODB STANDARDS TO SELECT LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS OF REHIYON DOSE

In a proactive move to embrace digitalization and improve Competitiveness and Ease of Doing Business (EODB) of the local government units in Rehiyon Dose, DILG XII through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) in collaboration with the DILG Provincial Offices, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Eastern Mindanao Field Office and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) XII spearheaded the conduct of Audit of LGU Compliance on EODB Standards to select fifteen (15) local government units (LGUs) of Rehiyon Dose.

Youth Leaders Unite for Peace at SOX PEACE Wemboree 3.0

At least 60 youth and community leaders from across Region XII gathered today, October 15, 2025, for the opening of the SOX PEACE Wemboree 3.0 held at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City. The three-day activity, which will run until October 17, 2025, serves as a celebration of unity, hope, and collaboration among peacebuilders and young advocates for community resilience and harmony.

Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII welcomed the participants, expressing pride in the youth’s growing role in peacebuilding.
