In line with the celebration of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month—which promotes a whole-of-government approach to ensure efficiency in all government-related transactions and to spur local economic development and sustained growth—DILG Region XII spearheaded an orientation and the 1st Semester EODB Focal Persons’ Conference. The event aimed to orient participants on the Recovery Initiative for a Sustained Economy (RISE) and various EODB programs, laws, and issuances. It was held on May 14, 2025, at Habi Hotel, City of Koronadal, and was attended by DILG Program Managers, Provincial/City EODB focal persons, and their alternates.

In a proactive move to modernize public service delivery and promote a digital-first approach to governance, DILG XII spearheaded a coaching session focused on the following major national initiatives: the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-177, or Integration of the Issuance of Barangay Clearance in the Permitting Processes of Cities/Municipalities, PALENG-QR PH, and the Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) to the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Polomolok, South Cotabato, Maasim, Sarangani Province, and T’boli, South Cotabato on April 21-22, 2025. The coaching session was attended by DILG field officers and key LGU officials.
To help improve public services and encourage a focus on digital solutions in government, DILG XII led a training session on important national programs, including the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-177 about Barangay Clearance in city and municipal permits, PALENG-QR PH, and the Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS), for the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, and Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, on April 14-15, 2025. The coaching session was attended by DILG field officers and key LGU officials.
Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) DOSE, together with its Sub-LGRCs, took part in a strategic consultation workshop organized by the Local Government Academy on April 14, 2025, in General Santos City.
The activity was aimed at reviewing ongoing capacity development initiatives of the DILG and LGRRC, identifying areas for collaboration with LGA, and jointly formulating the 2025 DILG XII Regional Work and Financial Plan in partnership with LGA.
