Advocacies against illegal drugs and other best practices on local governance will soon be seen in bus televisions in Region XII as DILG Dose and bus operator Yellow Bus Line (YBL) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) supporting the government’s Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, the national government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign, through the former’s advocacy platform, Bantala sang Dose.

DILG XII OIC-Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE and YBL Operations Manager Bernardo Bolanio, representing General Manager Virginia Yap-Garcia, signed the MOA in a ceremonial signing held at DILG XII Office, Koronadal City, South Cotabato last May 3, 2024.

The 17th week of Barangay Kalinisan Day (BARKADA) in Barangay Cannery, Polomolok showcased a remarkable display of communal effort in advancing environmental stewardship. Led Led by Rehiyon Dose’s Regional Director, Atty. Rochelle Mahinay-Sero, CESE, together with South Cotabato Provincial Director Hayd-Ali S. Suwaib, LGMED Division Chief Musarapha A. ALim, LGMED Assistant Division Chief Jon Ian Clemente, Supervising Administrative Officer Katherine Llano, Chief of Staff Jon Leo Licayan and other regional and provincial personnel.

Last April 29, 2024, DILG Dose, in collaboration with the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RIMTF) for the Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), conducted a comprehensive capacity-building session for the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF) via the Zoom platform.

DILG Dose conducted the Levelling-off meeting with the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (RIMT) last April 26, 2024, via Zoom Platform, in preparation for the implementation of the CY 2024 Functionality Assessment of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC).

 

The LCAT-VAWC is a local mechanism established at the provincial, city, and municipal levels and serves as the policy and program coordinating and monitoring body of anti-trafficking and violence against women and their children’s efforts at the local level.

In conclusion to the Implementation of the CY 2024 Functionality Assessment of the LCPC, the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (RIMTF) and the Provincial and Highly Urbanized City (HUC) Focal Persons, along with the LCPC secretariat, convened on April 16, 2024, at DILG XII in Koronadal City, South Cotabato for a Post Meeting.

During the meeting, the Chairpersons of the Regional and Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (IMTFs) discussed the status of the implementation and the assessment’s final results. They also raised concerns particularly on the assessment process and formulated a strategic plan to be implemented within the year to address these concerns.
