DILG Region 12 conducted the Orientation on the Guidelines for the Implementation of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) under the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) FY 2016 on July 21, 2016 at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City. Participants were the MPDCs, MLGOOs, Budget Officers, IT Staff, Local Chief Executives, DILG Provincial/City Director and CBMS Focal Persons of the 31 LGUs enrolled in CBMS under the BUB 2016 DILG funded.

At the end of the activity the participants were able to start accomplishing the requirements with its attachments to facilitate the release of fund and the provision of technical assistance to implement the said project.

DILG 12 joins the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XII in its annual celebration of the National Disaster Consciousness Month (NDCM) this month of July, 2016. In the Kick-Off Ceremony conducted on July 1, 2016, the RDRRMC XII, in partnership with the PDRRMC of South Cotabato, conducted a Motorcade followed by a Media Briefing at Fred Ann’s, Koronadal City.

The incoming Secretary of the Interior and Local Government (SILG) Ismael “Mike” D. Sueno met the legislators, local chief executives, leaders and the DILG family in Region 12 at an interfacing event on June 23, 2016 at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City.

“We will lay the foundation for meaningful change in the LGUs,” the SILG said before two hundred and twenty participants, who lauded him for his presentation on the Department’s top priorities for his first one hundred days in office.

True to its commitment in incentivizing LGUs for their outstanding performance in good governance, the DILG 12 recently conducted the Joint Regional Awarding Ceremony for the Local Legislative Awards (LLA) and the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) at Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

More than a hundred functionaries and guests composed of the Sanggunians and Members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa of winning LGUs, members of the Regional Awards Committee (RAC) for both LLA and LTIA were present in the Filipiniana-inspired awarding ceremony.

As part of the Region’s efforts in strengthening its preparedness and response to disasters and crisis, the Regional Crisis Management Committee (RCMC) 12 Technical Working Group (TWG) recently underwent an orientation-workshop on crisis management at Camp Agaab, Pulatana, Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province.
