Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III assured its field officers and partner agencies that the Covid -19 Operations Center stationed at the DILG XII Conference Room continues to provide assistance and services twenty-four hours each day throughout the week.
The Regional OpCen acts as the conduit of information, instruction and updates from the Central Office OpCen, giving assurance for a timely and quick exchange of information from the field and vice versa.
DILG XII has warned residents through its social media site and the radio about the stricter measures being implemented in the Region XII as a region-wide curfew was implemented on the March 23, 2020.
In a radio interview with RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, those with non-essential trips are ‘better off staying at home than go through the inconvenience at border crossings within the Region’. According to Director Leysa, more stringent checks are being done who cross from one region to another or travel between two border towns of different provinces.
Provincial LGUs of Region XII are set to implement the unified curfew hours from 9:00 in the evening until 5:00 in the morning starting today, March 23, 2020, to help prevent the spreading of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This was outlined in the approved Joint Resolution No. 2020-04 enjoining all local government units in the region to impose a uniform curfew hours to help curb and contain the disease. Members of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) gathered in a meeting held at Sultan Kudarat Provincial Capitol in Isulan last March 18, 2020.
As a response to the government’s effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII promptly implemented temporary flexible work arrangements and intensified its sanitation and hygiene measures for its employees.
The Department will follow work from home and skeletal workforce arrangement from March 23 until April 12, 2020, to ensure the employees’ health and safety. Business hours will remain the same from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon (Mondays to Fridays), the Department confirms.
