In a bid to further advance good governance in SOCCSKSARGEN Region, DILG Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, met with Kidapawan City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista and Banisilan Mayor Jesus F. Alisasis on January 21, 2025. The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships to support both LGUs in their efforts toward the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

 

RD Mahinay-Sero commended Kidapawan City for its consistent performance as an SGLG awardee, recognizing the city’s exemplary governance and innovative initiatives. She further assured Mayor Evangelista of DILG’s continued support to sustain the city’s high standards in governance.

On January 20, 2025, DILG Dose led by Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, made a New Year's call to Cotabato Governor Emmylou "Lala" J. Taliño Mendoza, MNSA, highlighting a stronger partnership and alignment of goals for 2025.

RD Sero congratulated Governor Mendoza for her outstanding leadership, which allowed the Province of Cotabato to achieve the prestigious CY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Award. The achievement demonstrates the governor's unwavering commitment to public service and good governance.

23 local government units (LGUs) from the SOCCSKSARGEN Region earned the prestigious Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) based on the result of the 2023 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA).

 

Among the 23 LGUs that received the SCFLG are the following:

 

Highly Urbanized City

1. General Santos City

 

Province of Cotabato

2. Municipality of Aleosan

3. Municipality of Midsayap

4. Municipality of Kabacan

5. Municipality of M’lang

6. Municipality of Alamada

7. Kidapawan City
