The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII successfully held a coordination meeting on June 21, 2024, in preparation for the BIDA Kabataang Malaya sa Droga: 2024 IDADAIT Youth Camp, scheduled for June 27-28, 2024.

 

The meeting brought together DILG focal persons from various provinces, partners from YES WE CARE Tri-People Association, Inc., Green Reconciliation Action Education Youth Organization Inc. (GRACE), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Philippine National Police (PNP). The General Santos City SK Federation also actively participated.

Residents of Sitio Spring, Brgy. Monteverde, Municipality of Bagumbayan in Sultan Kudarat were grateful for the farm to market road project formally turned over by DILG XII to the Local Government of Bagumbayan last June 4, 2024.

The 400-meter road project aims to efficiently transport farm products, improve access and delivery of basic services, and provide safer road access to residents and commuters.

The Barangay Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa), persists in achieving notable progress in promoting a safe and healthy environment through efficient management of solid waste.

 

This country-wide community-driven initiative, emphasized through DILG Memorandum Circular Number 2023-133, issued on September 6, 2023, highlights the importance the Barangay on Kalinisan Day. 

 

In its 23rd week, the BarKaDa program shines its spotlight on Barangay Malalag in Maitum, Sarangani Province, one of the many participating Barangays. The focus on Brgy. Malalag underscores Rehiyon Dose’s ongoing dedication to this cause.

LGOO II Petal Cagape of the Office of the Regional Director- Local Governance Regional Resource Center (ORD-LGRRC) bested other apprentices by finishing Top 1 in the DILG IX and DILG XII Inter-Regional Preparatory Training Program for Batch 57 and 58 LGOO Apprentices.

Meanwhile, LGOO II Abdul Hajid U. Melikon, Jr. of DILG Cotabato and LGOO II Tessa Mae G. Nograles-Macalintal of DILG Sarangani were ranked fourth and sixth, respectively. The recognition was given during the closing ceremony of their 10-Day Intensive Coaching hosted by DILG IX in Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC), chaired by the Department of Agriculture Region XII (DA XII), conducted an ELCAC-PRLEC meeting on June 13, 2024, at the DA XII Conference Room, Prime Regional Government Center, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. The meeting aimed to discuss the implementation plan for the proposed 88 kilometers of Farm to Market Roads (FMRs) within the ELCAC target barangays in Region 12.
