Pursuant to the DILG Advisory dated July 7, 2017 on the Hiring and Renewal Guidelines for the MASA-MASID Project Field Personnel for the Contract Period July-December 2017, the DILG XII being the lead convener of MASA-MASID held its one-day orientation for regional and community facilitators conducted last August 15, 2017 at the Viajera Dine and Café, City of Koronadal.
As an advocate of Disaster Preparedness in the Region, the Department of the Interior and Local Government conducted a five-day Training on Basic First Aidon August 14-18, 2017 at Viajera Dine and Café, Koronadal City to its twenty five (25) employees from the regional and provincial offices.
Experts coming from the Bureau of Fire Protection trained the participants. In her closing remarks, ARD Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESE reminded everyone of the importance of readiness and planning against any disaster. She concluded that this must start at home and hoped that the learnings of the participants will be useful not just for the agency but also to their respective families.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government, in partnership with Philippine Public Safety College, conducted the L!STONGPamayanan Community Drill Simulation on August 28-30, 2017 at Anchor Hotel, General Santos City. It was attended by the local government units situated in the Malungon-Buayan River Basin.
As part of the Department’s quest in strengthening the LGUs’ capability in the efficient and effective delivery of basic services to their constituents and to ensure the proper and quality implementation of all Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) in the region, the DILG XII in partnership with the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) XII spearheaded by Regional Director Arturo Valero of NEDA XII being the Chairman of the Committee, recently conducted the Training-Orientation on Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) relative to the Implementation of LFPs.
The activity was conducted in five batches on the following dates and venue:
