The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII, through the Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) EODB Focal Persons, together with the Departments’ concerned field officers, conducted the Onsite Documentation/Validation of the LGU RISE Best Practices of the three LED Model LGUs on October 22-23, 2024 at the local government units of General Santos City, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato and Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

The activity was participated by the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officers, Local Planning and Development Officers, Tourism Officers, Agriculturist/Agricultural Officers, Building Permit and Licensing Officers, Public Employment Service Officers, and Information Officers/Writers of the three LED Model LGUs.

The activity generally aims to document/validate the RISE Best Practices on how the local government units of Kidapawan City, City of Koronadal, and the Highly Urbanized City of General Santos recovered from pandemic either through tourism, agriculture, creative and cultural industries, and others as presented during the Write shop/Workshop and Presentation of LGU LED Story dated October 15-16, 2024.

The two-day (2) onsite documentation/validation of the LGU RISE best practices successfully ended through the active participation and support of the concerned local functionaries during the said activity.

The presented RISE best practices coupled with the LGUs compliance to RA 11032 of the EODB Law and other related issuances will form part of the knowledge management and information system and the pride of Rehiyon Dose which may be used by other LGUs for possible replication in winning a sustainable Economic Growth in the locality.
