The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region XII has sought the support of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII to tackle key challenges in enforcing Republic Act 9003, the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. EMB XII stressed the need for stricter enforcement, better waste management facilities, and stronger coordination with Local Government Units (LGUs) to ensure full compliance with the law.

Component II: Local Governance (Part 2) on February 10–14, 2025. The 
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Dose helped them with 
this.

A three-day Levelling Session is being held from February 17-19, 2025, at Paraiso Verde Hotel and Resort in Koronadal City to enhance the capacity of gender and development (GAD) technical assistance providers in Rehiyon Dose. The session aims to equip the eight shortlisted applicants with essential skills and knowledge for delivering effective GAD-related support in the region.

The 2025 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting convened government officials, civil society leaders, and policymakers from across the region, alongside global and regional partners, to exchange best practices and discuss the progress of open government initiatives. Held from February 5-7, 2025, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, the event provided a dynamic platform to foster dialogue on key governance issues. Among the distinguished participants were Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay- Sero, CESE; South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.; and General Santos City Planning and Development Officer Dennis Fel T.
