Regional Policy Rollout Training of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund Guidelines for FY 2023

The DILG Dose, through the Project Development and  Management Unit (PDMU), successfully conducted the Regional Policy Rollout Training of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund Guidelines for FY 2023 at Viajera Dine & Cafe, Koronadal City, Province of South Cotabato on February 13, 2024. 

OIC- Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, graced the event with an opening message stating that the activity is a significant milestone in fostering good governance and sustainable development. She also thanked the participants for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in achieving good governance. 

PDMU Chief, Engr. Herminia S. Ontoy gave an overview of the activity where she discussed how SGLG started, the criteria and coverage, and the updated guidelines stated in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-006. 

Engr. Jennelyn M. Peñales, SGLG Regional Focal Person, presented the Operational Guidelines in the implementation of SGLGIF. On the other hand, Engr. Ken Harley Obenieta presented answers to frequently asked questions about SGLGIF implementation. 

The activity equipped participants with working knowledge on the updated SGLG Incentive Fund guidelines, responded to different issues and concerns of the recipient LGUs, and gathered suggestions to expedite the implementation and reporting of projects on the SGLG Incentive Fund website. 

In attendance are the DILG Provincial Directors and Outcome Managers of the Provinces of Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, and South Cotabato, joined by the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs). DILG SGLGIF Focal Persons, and LGU Officials.
