DILG XII RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III is set to turn over the reins of the Municipality of Magpet, Cotabato Province to Vice Mayor Rogelio Maranon this week, ending her week-long stint as the caretaker of the said local government unit.

Vice Mayor Maranon will briefly assume as the OIC Mayor from June 22 to 23. The said official has already completed his 14-day isolation after having been exposed to a Covid-19 positive.

Competitiveness and Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in the country, the DILG continues to provide Technical Assistance to the LGUs for them to effectively implement the EODB/ EGSD Law or RA 11032.

On June 10-11, 2021, the DILG XII, in coordination BLGD-DILG Central Office and with the support of the Commission on Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA), conducted a ROLLOUT ON THE REPEAL OF POLICIES FOR LGUS on June 10-11, 2021 via a blended setup.

In an unprecedented turn of events relative to the pandemic, DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III has been designated as the caretaker of the Municipality of Magpet in Cotabato Province.

The move is in compliance to the order signed by DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano dated June 15, 2021 directing RD Leysa to be the “caretaker of the LGU, in concurrent capacity, which shall be effective until such time that the Secretary has designated all the officials or when their leave of absences are over or whichever comes earlier.”

The DILG XII, through its Project Development Management Unit (PDMU), spearheaded by Engr. Herminia S. Ontoy conducted an Orientation on the Omnibus Guidelines in Monitoring and Evaluation of LGSF-SBDP Projects and SubayBAYAN guidelines on June 07, 2021.

The activity aims to provide a venue for beneficiary LGUs to have a common understanding of the FY 2021 LGSF-SBDP projects monitoring & evaluation guidelines and familiarization on the procedures in using the SubayBAYAN platform to ensure efficient and effective program implementation.

A total of 55 Regional and Provincial engineers from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII and technical personnel from the four provinces in the Region underwent training on Material Testing and Quality Control (MTQC) to ensure quality delivery of road services in the Region.

 

Through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), DILG XII facilitated the four-day blended (virtual and face-to-face) workshop last May 4 to 7, 2021 “to equip key players with knowledge and skills on material testing and quality control” to ensure that infrastructure projects implemented in various local government units (LGUs) are of standard quality.
