Field Officers warned: Wearing Masks is now a Must

DILG XII Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III issued a cautionary warning to all the field officers and personnel of the Department to start wearing face masks whenever they are out in public places from April 6 to last even until after the quarantine period.

The instruction was in line with the memorandum dated April 2 which calls for the observation of precautionary measures prescribed by the DOH while at work, leaving and going back home and more so, when availing home essentials. The memo was signed by DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Ano.

“The message is timely because our field officers are more in demand these days as they are required to provide guidance to the LGUs”, said Dir. Leysa. “We cannot compromise their health as we know how vulnerable they can be despite the low figures of CoVid-19 cases in the Region,” Director Leysa added.

“We take the words of Secretary Ano seriously as he himself is under quarantine, after having been tested positive for Covid 19,” Dir. Leysa stated.

Her campaign for the wearing of face masks was brought up during the first ever teleconference held recently which was joined by all the members of the Regional ManCom.
