DILG XII support BARMM MILG’s Coaches’ Training for Risk-Informed Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP+)

On March 1-4, 2021, DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III and Assistant Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESO V, led the Region’s CDP team during the “Coaches’ Training for the Enhancement of the Risk-Informed Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP+)” of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

With the transition from the ARMM to now BARMM, Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) Director General Engr. Muhajarin Ali elucidated the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) for 2020-2022 as important document wherein LGUs’ CDP must vertically align with. More so, Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) Chief, LGOO VII Taharta Balading, addressed questions and clarifications related to prevailing issues on planning like availability Of data, institutionalization of relevant planning mechanisms, among others.

A sequel of CDP virtual training hosted by DILG-BLGD , the 50 participants from MILG, Provincial Planning Development Offices of 5 provinces, and BPDA graduated as CDP+Coaches embracing well-founded competence on the subject-matter and, thereby, made them prepared for the subsequent provincial roll-out with high confidence to meet the forthcoming May 2021 CDP+ Assessment.

As a finale, BARMM Minister, Atty. Naguib G. Sinarimbo, and DILG XII Regional Director, Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, were both delighted on the excellent impression heard from the selected participants during the closing program. It fruitfully ended with an exchange of warm appreciations between them for the partnership efforts made to ensure fullest compliance of LGUs on the new risk-informed CDP.
