In its continuing bid to ‘start right’, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII hosted an Orientation on Strategic Performance via video conference last January 12, 2021 at 9:30 in the morning.

Joining the said teleconference were both the field and Regional Office personnel of DILG XII. The orientation which was aimed at providing the attendees with enough working knowledge about the marked changes in the information required for the SPMS forms.

In her message, RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, stated that she “looks forward to the easy adoption of the ‘new style’ and that each personnel will be able to readily absorb the changes and adjustments in the required Form. She also encouraged everyone to take note of the salient features in handling and preparing the SPMS forms and deliverables.

She then called on each one to embrace the changes and still manage to meet the given deadlines. The challenge, the Director added, is for each personnel to ‘adopt’, ‘embrace’ and ‘utilize’ these new adjustments.”

The said activity served as a venue for adjustments and re-learning as it guided all personnel on how they should identify their relevant functions relative to their workload. It helped clarify issues on the different indicators of the SPMS Forms and gave the guarantee that the information provided are accurate and substantial.

The resource person, Ms. Jenny Naz Nuyda, Supervising Administrative Officer of the DILG Central Office, presented the detailed rules and guidelines concerning the preparation of SPMS. She also gave out pointers in filling out the forms as well as the recommended ratings for every category.

In his closing message, FAD Chief Dennis T. Sucol extended congratulations to all for the success of the orientation and hoped that the overall productivity will be improved in 2021, as part of the New Normal.
