DILG XII Spearheaded the Writeshop on the Preparation of Enhanced Feasibility Study for Selected LGUs in Region XII

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII in partnership with the Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), Tacurong City, spearheaded the Writeshop on the Preparation of Enhanced Feasibility Study (FS) for the five (5) LGUs in the Region, namely: Cities of Cotabato, General Santos and Tacurong; and Municipalities of Columbio and Tampakan. The three-day activity (August 29-31, 2018) at Villa Amor Hotel, Koronadal City was participated in by SB Chair of Economic Affairs, Local Engineer, Local Planning and Development Coordinator, Local Accountant/Budget Officer, and C/MLGOOs.

           

It was a follow-through activity of the “Training on the Preparation of Feasibility Study/FS 101” which was conducted on December 2017. The writeshop aimed to finalize the FS, to enhance and include other factors and processes. The resource persons were Dr. Rommel Lagumen, Department Chair-Engineering and Ms. Jezyl E. Palapos, Department Chair-Entrepreneurship from SKSU. LGOO IV Lucita L.V. Dela Peña of BLGD also shared valuable inputs regarding the LGU P4 Portal, Code, Data Capture Forms, and other relevant matters.

 

The enhanced feasibility study training further elaborated the project proposal and pre-feasibility study of the LGUs on modelling and analysis, risks and solutions, monitoring and evaluation focusing on the proposed project. The training covered workshops and drafting the enhanced feasibility study, monitoring and evaluation and risk management plan.

 

“PPP can be small projects but sustainable, such as basic services, medicine and others. This activity will help you analyze and determine the feasibility of the project in your LGUs before negotiating it to the private sector for their engagement during the business matching comes October.”, ARD Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESE, said during her welcome message.
