DILG XII Spearheaded the Regional Coaches’ Training on the Enhanced Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS) for the Regulatory Simplification for Local Governments (RS4LG)

One of the primary mandates of the local governments is to ensure the general welfare of its people, provide basic services and improved economic activities at the local level.

The DILG XII, as one of the lead agencies in the Streamlining of Enhanced Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS), conducted the Regional Coaches’ Training on the Enhanced Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS) for the Regulatory Simplification for Local Governments (RS4LG). The two-day activity was held at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City on April 25 to 26, 2017 with forty-nine (49) participants composed of DILG Provincial and City BPLS Focal Persons with alternate, DTI Regional, Provincial and City BPLS Focal Persons with alternate, BFP Provincial and City BPLS Focal Persons, and BPLOs from selected Cities and Municipalities of the following LGUs: (1) Midsayap, Cotabato Province; (2) Kidapawan, Cotabato Province; (3) Maasim, Sarangani; (4) Malungon, Sarangani; (5) Surallah, South Cotabato; (6)  Tupi, South Cotabato; (7) Isulan, Sultan Kudarat; and (8) Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat.

The Coaches’ Training provided a venue for the participants to explore strategies and effective techniques in assisting LGUs in implementing the enhanced standards.  At the end of the activity, the participants were able to acquire knowledge and skills that would help them assist the LGUs in implementing the revised standards in processing business permits and licenses and eventually improve LGU competitiveness.
