DILG XII Conducts the RPOC Year-End Meeting cum Year-End Activity

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII ended the year with merriment and warm fellowship during the conduct of RPOC XII 4th Quarter Meeting-cum- Year-End Activity on December 26, 2019 at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.

The year-end meeting was done in partnership with the provincial government of Sultan Kudarat under Governor Suharto T. Mangudadatu, being the Chairman of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Region XII.

The meeting was presided by Sultan Kudarat Governor Suharto T. Mangudadatu, the RPOC Chair with the following Members present, namely; Cotabato Province Governor Nancy A. Catamco, Regional Director of DILG Region XII Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III, Regional Director of NICA XII Eduardo T. Marquez, Regional Team Leader of PMS XII Mary Ann V. Lucero, Regional Director of PDEA XII Naravy D. Duquiatan, 6th ID Commander MGEN Diosdado C. Carreon, 10th ID Commander MGEN Jose C. Faustino, Jr., Regional Director of PNP XII PBGEN Alfred S. Corpus, and Representatives from DENR XII, DSWD XII, DPWH XII, LTO XII, NBI XII and PLGU Sarangani.

The meeting’s highlights include the Accomplishments for 2019 of South Cotabato, Cotabato Province, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani Province and General Santos City as presented by their respective Provincial/City Peace and Order Council (P/CPOC) Representatives. The four provinces showcased various resolutions that were issued, activities that were conducted and projects that were initiated to address the challenges on the peace and order concerns in their respective areas. Their accomplishments served as testaments of the strong and cohesive partnership of the LGUs, the national line agencies and other stakeholders especially in the fight against communist terrorist groups (CTGs). To top it all, the RPOC XII also presented its accomplishment particularly the Recognition it received for garnering the highest Compliance Rating for the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan Policy Compliance Monitoring System (POPSP-PCMS) awarded by the National Peace and Order Council.

Another significant portion of the gathering had been dedicated to the launching of the DILG Region XII initiative in promoting a healthy and clean environment called the Project “Code Zoe.”  The Project calls for everyone’s participation, especially the government employees, to work on achieving a clean and green surroundings, even in the work place.

The big bang, which was appropriately placed towards the closing part of the program, was the raffle draw and gift-giving portion, in line with the Christmas spirit of giving and caring. Lucky participants and RPOC officials alike went home with something to remember, thanks to the generosity and kindness of the RPOC officers.
