DILG Dose joins eLGU Caravan for Mindanao Cluster

DILG Dose, led by Regional Director Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, witnessed the ceremonial activation of the eLGU System along with select local chief executives from Regions IX, X,XI, XII, and XIII during the eLGU Caravan for Mindanao Cluster held at Ritz Hotel, Davao City last July 11, 2024.

City and Municipal Administrators, Business Permit and Licensing Officers, Information Technology Officers, and other local functionaries also attended the caravan.

For Region XII, the LGUs who participated included the following: Kabacan, Makilala, Arakan, Matalam, Pikit, Carmen, Antipas, Libungan, Midsayap, Alamada, Kidapawan City and Banisilan of the Province of Cotabato; Banga, Norala, Surallah and Tantangan of the Province of South Cotabato; Bagumbayan, Lebak, Tacurong City, Isulan, Columbio, President Quirino, and Lambayong of the Province of Sultan Kudarat and Maasim of the Province of Sarangani.

The eLGU Caravan aims to deepen the understanding and appreciation of all cities and municipalities on the significance of automation. The said initiative will contribute to the requirement of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law on streamlining and digitalization for a more efficient and effective service delivery.

 All local chief executives vowed to provide easy, efficient, and streamlined government transactions and services for their constituents through the eLGU system during the caravan’s Pledge of Commitment.

The caravan was graced by DILG Undersecretary Marlo L. Iringan, CESO III; Director Anna Liza F. Bonagua of the Bureau of Local Government Development; Assistant Secretary for Human Resource Development, Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO Assistant Secretary for Community Participation, Elizabeth N. Lopez De Leon; DILG Regional Directors of Regions IX, X, XI, and XIII.

Also present were Director Rachel Ann Gabrador of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Regional Director Engr. Rhuelo D. Aradanas, MPA of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Eastern Mindanao Regional Field Office, and other partner National Government Agencies.

The activity was hosted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XI, in coordination with the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), DICT, and ARTA.
