The Project Development Management Unit (PDMU) – 12 in coordination with the Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS) conducted its first Consultative Conference for Water Projects under the SALINTUBIG Program for Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) on August 16, 2018. The Participants are the City/ Municipal Engineer, Accountant, C/MPDC and the Local Chief Executives of the following recipient LGUs of 2016 SALINTUBIG, viz: Basilan (Lamitan City, Maluso, Sulu, Hadji Panglima Tahil, Patikul), Tawi-tawi (Sibutu, Sitangkai), Maguindanao (South Upi, Sultan Sa Barongis, Mamasapano, Pagalungan, Paglat) and Lanao Del Sur (Mulondo, Piagapo)
The program was also attended by the DILG-ARMM as the overseeing region and DILG Region IX and XII being the administering region for the implementation of the SALINTUBIG Projects in ARMM. Participants from the Department were, Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil, CESO III together with the PDMU Chief Irene P. Bugtai and staff attended for Region IX; Provincial Director of Lanao del Sur, PD Mcmillan A. Lucman.for ARMM and Asst Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz and technical staff for Region XII. Municipal Mayor of Sultan sa Barongis, Hon. Ramdatu M. Angas and the Muncipal Mayor of Paglat, Hon. Abdulkarim T. Langkuno were also present.
The Program was opened by ARD Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESE. The activities included in the program were reiterations of the salient features of the SALINTUBIG guidelines, assessment on the Status of Physical and Financial Accomplishment of each LGUs, the Roles of DILG-ARMM, LGU and the Administering Regions (RO 9 & RO 12) in the Tripartite MOA. RD Abutazil also raised that the PDMU Technical Staff can assist on the preparation of Technical Documents such as Detailed Engineering Drawing and Simplified Feasibility Study. The WSSPMO DILG-OPDS staff facilitated the conduct of the action planning on the commitments of the LGUs to expedite the completion of the subprojects. Afterwards the LGUs submitted their duly accomplished Action Plans and a small group session for each cluster and their respective administering region was undertaken.
