DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido – Leysa, CESO III led the formal turn-over ceremony of three (3) water projects under the SALINTUBIG Program in Brgy. Basak, Magpet, Cotabato Province on July 16, 2021.

RD Leysa, in her message, applauded the successful implementation of the said water projects through the initiative of LGU Magpet and support of the Punong Barangays and officials of the recipient barangays. “We should be happy with the projects brought by the government to you. Kung ako nakatira dito at papiliin ako, kuryente or tubig, piliin ko talaga ang tubig. Because like what Pastor said, water is life.”

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII conducted virtual “Orientation on Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence and Women Children (LCAT- VAWC)” and “Training of Gender Sensitivity, Gender Analysis, and Gender Responsive LGUs (GeRL) Assessment Tool” on July 15 and 28, 2021, respectively. With two hundred eighty (280), 216 female and 63 male, and one hundred ninety nine (199), 153 female and 43 male, GAD Focal Point Systems (GFPS) members of LGUs participated each undertakings.

DILG XII has successfully launched on Thursday, 29 of July, its own DILG DOSE TV on Youtube during the Knowledge Fair and the MOU signing activity which was live streamed via Facebook and Zoom platform. 

In a statement right after the successful holding of the Knowledge Fair, RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III explained that the concept for DILG DOSE TV emanated from DILG XII’s desire to provide a venue to release “relevant, timely and appropriate materials related to ‘positive peace’, one of DILG XII’s strategic direction.

DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the successful conduct of the much-awaited Knowledge Fair 2021 which featured four (4) peace-related academic papers, the launching of DILG Dose TV on Youtube and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the Local Governance Consortium for Socsksargen on July 29.

In her opening message, RD Leysa said she considered the event as one of the milestones in the Regional Office’s “pursuit for positive peace and productive partnership with CSO/LRI partners.”
