All Administrative Personnel of DILG XII were treated to a substantially loaded Retooling activity at Mt. Sabrina Panoramic View and Resort, General Santos City as part of Learning and Development Plan for CY 2022.
The Learning and Development activity has a timely theme “Nurturing a Culture of Excellence in DILG Dose” which aims to keep pace with the increasing demands of a more responsive, accessible, courteous, and efficient public service and the desire of the Regional Management to continually develop the DILG XII workforce in terms of core, leadership, and functional competencies to enhance the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes of all employees.” It also reflects the Department’s drive to be better in all aspects.
The regional management under the leadership of RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III is driven to help shape the heart and minds of all DILG XII personnel so that they become more equipped with the needed skills and knowledge as they go about their daily tasks and eventually, achieve their full potential as government workers.
In her message, RD Leysa said “an individual’s action can bring change, no matter how negligible or petty he thinks his action is. With this consideration, no one should disregard what an individual can do, especially a well-equipped, well-trained and learned person.”
The participants to this two-day activity are composed of the plantilla and Contract-of-Service (COS) Administrative Personnel from DILG XII Regional and Field offices.
The resource speakers were a powerhouse line up composed of the Executive Committee Members of DILG Region III, namely; Chief, LGCDD Erner P. Cambronero, CESE, CAO, Anita W. Adriano, SAO, Maria Resa B. Pangilinan, HRMO III Crystal Joy C. Pineda, Chief, LGMED Lerrie S. Hernandez, and Assistant Chief, LGCDD Lee Allen B. Pineda. They presented various replicable practices and innovations, which set their region apart from the rest. Region III had been declared as the “Best in the PBB Ranking” for the past years.
Also, DILG-Public Affairs and Communication Service Director Marlo S. Guanzon, PhD from the Central Office highlighted the importance of communication in the light of misinformation and disinformation.
Meanwhile, other resource speakers from DILG Rehiyon Dose also delivered some essential and timely topics: HRMO- Designate Mary Eulen Y. Abdilah tackled the Citizen Charter and RA 11032,also known as the ‘Ease of Doing Business’, Atty. IV Michelle Anne P. Viejo on RA 6713 or the ‘Code of Conduct, and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees’ and on RA 11313, otherwise known as the Safe Spaces Act (“Bawal Bastos Law”), LGOO VI Mary Ann R. Traspe on QMS Orientation, and ITO I Arthur P. Condes and LGOO II Darwin G. Agbon on Photography 101.
Participants to the activity were all Administrative plantilla and Contract-of-Service personnel in the DILG XII Regional and Field Offices.
