The Project Development Management Unit of the Department of the Interior Local Government (DILG) Region 12 conducted a Municipal Water Supply Sewerage Sanitation Sector Plan Preparation Follow through Activity at Phela Grande Hotel and Convention Center, General Santos City on June 6-8, 2018. The objectives of the said activity are to formulate and prepare a complete long term municipal development plan for water supply, sewerage and sanitation covering a period of five years, strengthen the operational framework and institutional capabilities for community development and gender responsiveness and enhance the skills on data collection and processing which aids in the planning process.

The seminar-workshop was attended by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC), Municipal Engineer (ME), Sanitary Inspector and Data Encoder of the selected Municipalities, namely; Pigcawayan, Arakan, Midsayap and Tulunan, Cotabato Province; Senator Ninoy Aquino, Esperanza and Isulan, Sultan Kudarat Province; and Banga, South Cotabato. 

The resource person are from the Region 12 WATSAN Hub members, namely; Mr. Carlito Uy, Ms. Mary Luzviminda R. Tagle-Herezo, Alicia L. Manondog Ph. D., Engr. Ruben Pelones, and Ramon Christopher Manero. 

The activity ended with the submission of Workshop Draft Outputs and the Action Plan of the LGUs including their commitments for the timely submission of the approved MW4SP on August 2018.
