The Joint Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease XII and Regional Task Force XII on COVID-19 conducted its second virtual meeting for 2022 on January 31, 2022. It was presided over by the DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III.
The Joint Task Forces discussed the ramping-up of vaccination roll-out in Region XII as well as the status of VAS Line List and VaxCertPH. In the discussion of policy concerns, The Joint RIATF-EID XII – RTF XII on COVID-19 approved 4 resolutions, to wit:
- Resolution Encouraging the LGUs of Region XII to Allow the Use of Regional Evacuation Centers as Vaccination Sites;
- Resolution Enjoining the LGUs to Designate Data Managers to Address the Requests of Individuals on the Rectification of their Records in the VaxCertPH and Hire Additional Manpower for the Updating of VAS Line List;
- Resolution Enjoining the LGUs to Hire Additional Vaccinators to Assist in the Vaccination Program; and
- Resolution Enjoining the LGUs to Support the National Vaccination Days on February 1-12, 2022 and the National Vaccination Rollout on February 7, 2022 for the 5-11 Eligible Population.
It was also resolved that a reiteration to LGUs of the re-hiring of contact tracers, strengthening of BHERTS, designation of additional data managers and provision of auxiliary support for vaccination program shall be undertaken through the issuance of a DILG-Dose Regional Memorandum.
