The DILG Provincial Office of Sarangani conducted the Operation LISTO Provincial Preparedness and Partnership Dialogue on April 6, 2017 at Sarangani Highlands General Santos City.

In attendance are some LCEs, Board Members, MLGOOs, P/MDRRMOs, COPs, FMs, CSOs and Youth Leaders. RD Reynaldo M. Bungubung CESO IV graced the activity and presented the National Disaster Preparedness Plan. The four Vice-Chairpersons for DRRM, namely, DOST, DILG, DSWD, and NEDA also presented their respective initiatives while Save the Children Philippines did discuss the salient provisions of RA 10821 otherwise known as the Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Act.

Gov. Steve C. Solon delivered his Provincial State of DRRM wherein he bragged the programs and activities of his province and proved why they are worthy of the award for Best PDRRMC for the four consecutive years in Gawad KALASAG. He also emphasized the importance of keeping the motion and drive of LGUs in DRRM to attain sustainable development.

The activity is aimed to showcase the DRRM initiatives of the relevant Regional agencies and PDRRMO and to stock take lessons on the implementation of the Operation LISTO.
