DILG DOSE TV now officially launched, RD Leysa urges support from stakeholders, partners

DILG XII has successfully launched on Thursday, 29 of July, its own DILG DOSE TV on Youtube during the Knowledge Fair and the MOU signing activity which was live streamed via Facebook and Zoom platform.

In a statement right after the successful holding of the Knowledge Fair, RD Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III explained that the concept for DILG DOSE TV emanated from DILG XII’s desire to provide a venue to release “relevant, timely and appropriate materials related to ‘positive peace’, one of DILG XII’s strategic direction.

DILG Dose TV on Youtube will feature a series of information campaign on the Department’s projects, plans and activities and relevant discussions on the implementation of the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling.

RD Leysa explained that the DILG XII wants to fan out facts, figures and updates from the Regional Office and the Department as a whole. “The plan is for the show to eventually become regular program, with its own stream of followers among residents and stakeholders in the whole region,” Dir. Leysa stated further.

While there are areas in Region XII with limited internet or any access to TV or radio broadcasts, DILG XII still intends to bring the message to these places through replays or delayed broadcasts of DILG DOSE TV. RD Leysa hopes that the video clips can also be played during a barangay meeting or through a public address system in the barangay gymnasium or school campuses.

DILG DOSE TV has prepared a series of other topics, as part of its Serye sa Dose campaign which usually tackles current events and discusses matters that confront the Department. The Regional Office has also readied its pool of hosts to handle the channel with a line-up of relevant and essential topics.

The videos are were set to last up to 7 minutes, depending on the topic. A segment of the show will also allow interaction from viewers or listeners who might want to raise some questions or seek clarifications.
