DILG Dose conducted the Levelling-off meeting with the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (RIMT) last April 26, 2024, via Zoom Platform, in preparation for the implementation of the CY 2024 Functionality Assessment of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC).
The LCAT-VAWC is a local mechanism established at the provincial, city, and municipal levels and serves as the policy and program coordinating and monitoring body of anti-trafficking and violence against women and their children’s efforts at the local level.
DILG Dose’s Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division said, it is important to conduct a functionality assessment and create an Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (IMT) at the regional and provincial levels to evaluate the Committees’ performance, determine the issues and gaps, provide recommendations to ensure the full functionality of its committee, and serve as the basis for designing and providing capacity development interventions.
In compliance with DILG MC 2023-181 or the Guidelines on the Operationalization of LCAT-VAWC, DILG Dose gears up by conducting the Llevelling-off meeting with the Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (RIMT) to establish a uniform appreciation of assessment indicators and a well-coordinated and effective preparation process for Local Government Units (LGUs) for the upcoming CY 2024 Functionality Assessment of the LCAT-VAWC.
This activity was participated by the following regional line agency, academe, and civil society organization partners: (1) Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD); (2) Philippine National Police (PNP); (3) Department of Justice (DOJ); (4) Department of Health (DOH); and (5) OND-HESED Foundation.
The insightful exchange underscored a collective commitment to ensuring the success of the said implementation of the functionality assessment.
