The DILG XII EODB Team composed of the Regional and Provincial Focal Persons with the participation of the Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) successfully conducted the seven-day audit starting on November 22, 2024 and November 25-29 2024 to December 2, 2024 to the select first class non-automated LGUs of the region.
The audit aims to validate the submitted compliance report of the LGUs on the Online Monitoring System of Business Permit and Licensing System (BPLS) and Building Permit and Certificate of Occupancy (BPCO) and Telecommunication Permit Online Monitoring System (TELPOMS), to address their specific needs/concerns, and provide appropriate technical assistance/interventions in compliance with the provisions of the EODB-EGSD Act of 2018.
These ten (10) select LGUs were from the four provinces of the region, particularly, LGUs Makilala, Arakan and President Roxas in the Province of Cotabato, LGUs of Banga, T’boli, Surallah, and Polomolok in the Province of South Cotabato, LGUs Bagumbayan and Columbio in the Province of Sultan Kudarat, and LGU Kiamba of Sarangani Province.
Participants during the assessment were members of the LGU’s Committee Anti-Red Tape (CART) and concerned LGU personnel from the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), Municipal Treasurer, Office of the Building Official (OBO), Municipal Economic Development Officer/Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer (LEDIPO/MEDO), as well as the local Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The result of the audit will serve as basis for the Department and other mandated national government agencies in crafting a responsive and effective capacity intervention/s to help our LGUs be compliant to the EODB law and other related laws.
