Barangay Kalinisan Day: A Unified Effort for Environmental Stewardship in Brgy. Greenfield, Arakan

The 20th week of Barangay Kalinisan Day (BARKADA) highlighted Brgy. Greenfield, Arakan North Cotabato, showcasing a communal effort in promoting environmental stewardship. The event was attended by Vice Mayor Mary Gerlie T. Montales, Punong Barangay Joenefer T. Tuble, MLGOO Jasmine F. Educalan, and other DILG regional and provincial personnel, demonstrating strong support from the Municipal Government of Arakan.

 

The cleanup initiative saw significant community engagement, with strong backing from the Local Government Council of Arakan. Various sectors, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT), underscored their shared responsibility for environmental preservation. This collective effort aimed to strengthen community bonds and resilience.

 

During the commitment ceremony led by Punong Barangay Tuble, participants pledged to uphold cleanliness, environmental stewardship, and community solidarity. Their collective vow, symbolized through raised hands and echoed words, followed by the signing of the commitment, stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to a cleaner, brighter future for generations to come.

 

Punong Barangay Tuble expressed his and his council's unwavering support for all future cleanup endeavors. He affirmed their dedication and pledged active participation in fostering cleanliness and sustainability within their barangay.
