Bagumbayan town in Sultan Kudarat leads SubayBAYAN updating in Region XII

Bagumbayan town in Sultan Kudarat topped the list of local government units in the Region with the highest updating rate in the SubayBAYAN platform, an online application system that monitors the progress of implemented locally-funded projects (LFPs) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government since 2012 to the present.

As of April 2020, Bagumbayan recorded an 84.05% updating rate, followed by the Municipalities of Libungan (82. 32%), Magpet (81.52%), and Pikit (70.51%) from the Province of Cotabato in second, third, and fifth place, respectively. The Municipality of Tboli from South Cotabato Province ranked fourth in the list with an updating rate of 80.21%.

Meanwhile, based on the provincial overall rating, the Province of Cotabato led the highest updating rate in the Region with a total of 54.93%, followed by South Cotabato Province with 48.31%, Sultan Kudarat Province with 47.76%, and Sarangani Province with 38.17%, DILG XII – Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) confirmed.

Included in the list of monitored projects in SubayBAYAN are those funded under the following programs of DILG: Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB), BuB – Local Government Support Fund (BuB-LGSF), Assistance to Displaced Municipalities/ Assistance to Municipalities (ADM/AM), Konkreto at Ayos na LanSAngan ang DAan tungo sa Pangkalahatang Kaunlaran (KALSADA) ,Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP), Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig para sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG), and Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) and Special Local Road Fund (SLRF).

Projects funded under Bohol Earthquake Assistance (BEA) and Recovery Assistance for Yolanda (RAY) implemented in other regions are also monitored through SubayBAYAN.

DILG XII Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III lauded the LGUs in their commitment to update the status of the Department’s LFPs through the online platform and encouraged other LGUs to fast-track the uploading and updating of their respective LFPs.

Data uploaded in SubayBAYAN form part in the evaluation and criteria of DILG Central Office in computing the budget allocation for the pursuing projects of the LGUs funded under the Department’s LFPs, PDMU Chief Herminia S. Ontoy said.

SubayBAYAN or Subaybayan ang Proyektong Bayan, is the official platform of the DILG in monitoring and reporting the progress of LFPs across the country which aims to provide real-time information on the physical and financial status of subprojects, information on actual location of sub projects through map overlays and dashboard graphical presentations, and offers feedback mechanisms to stakeholders and beneficiaries.
