The Department of the Interior and Local Government, in partnership with Philippine Public Safety College, conducted the L!STONGPamayanan Community Drill Simulation on August 28-30, 2017 at Anchor Hotel, General Santos City. It was attended by the local government units situated in the Malungon-Buayan River Basin.

As part of the Department’s quest in strengthening the LGUs’ capability in the efficient and effective delivery of basic services to their constituents and to ensure the proper and quality implementation of all Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) in the region, the DILG XII in partnership with the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) XII spearheaded by Regional Director Arturo Valero of NEDA XII being the Chairman of the Committee, recently conducted the Training-Orientation on Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System (RPMES) relative to the Implementation of LFPs.

A Seminar Workshop on Municipal Water Supply, Sewerage, and Sanitation Sector Plan (MW4SP) Preparation was recently conducted by the DILG XII in partnership with the Office of the Project Development Services-Water Supply and Sanitation Program Management Office (OPDS-WSSPMO) and the Regional Water and Sanitation (WatSan) hubs, at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center, General Santos City.

The DILG XII through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) recently conducted a two-day Midyear Assessment and Planning Workshop in the Implementation of the Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) at London Beach Resort, General Santos City.

Participants were the DILG Provincial/City Directors, LFPs Provincial and City Focal Persons, Finance and Administrative Division Staff, and the PDMU personnel.

In general, the activity aims to a) assess the performance of the region and of the LGUs in terms of project implementation; and b) address the problems and bottlenecks that were encountered by the LGUs which caused delay in the implementation of LFPs.

The DILG XII in cooperation with the Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS) and Assistance to the Disadvantaged Municipalities-Oversight Project Management Office (ADM-OPMO) spearheaded the conduct of the Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program CY 2017 Orientation and Planning Workshop on August 14-15, 2017 (Batch 1) for the Provinces of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat, and on August 15-16, 2017 (Batch 2) for the Cotabato and Sarangani, at Mt. Sabrina, General Santos City.
