The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII has shown strong support for National Children’s Month, aligning with this year’s theme, “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines.”
In a symbolic gesture of commitment to child protection and empowerment, DILG XII employees recited the Panatang Makabata during their regular Monday Convocation at both the Regional and Provincial offices. The recitation, led by LGMED Chief Musarapha A. Alim, MPA at the Regional Office, underscored the department's unwavering support for initiatives aimed at safeguarding children’s rights and welfare.
Throughout the month of November, DILG XII will continue reciting the Panatang Makabata every Monday, and all personnel are encouraged to wear blue every Friday. These actions are essential in reinforcing child protection efforts at the local level.
Through these activities, DILG XII continues to advocate for child-friendly governance and the protection of children from abuse, exploitation, and neglect, ensuring that every child in the region is given the opportunity to grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
