The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XII celebrated the achievements of its local government units and partner stakeholders during the annual Pasidungog sa Dose last October 31, 2024, at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.
Pasidungog sa Dose is the DILG Dose's recognition program for LGUs, partner agencies, civil society organizations, and learning research institutes for the profound impact they have made in pursuit of a brighter future for their constituents.
During the activity, nine outstanding national government agencies and 51 distinguished LGUs were recognized for their excellence in governance, program implementation, and innovation.
The event highlighted the achievements in the following functionality assessments and programs:
- Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC)
- Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC)
- Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA)
- Gender and Development (GAD) Seal
- Drug-Free Workplace Seal Certification Program
- Governance Exemplars for Meaningful Service (GEMS) for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK)
- Recovery Initiative Towards Sustained Local Economy (RISE)
- Planado and Dose Program (PlanaDose)
- End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC)
- Peace and Order Council (POC); and
- Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC)
“Through united efforts, we will continue to witness the impact of governance breakthroughs," said Samuel A. Camaganacan, CE OIC-Assistant Regional Director, as he welcomed the guests and awardees.
Meanwhile, Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, Regional Director, congratulated all the awardees and further stated the power of good governance as a tool for transformation.
"Good governance is not just a phrase; it is a powerful tool for transformation. It ensures that our communities are not merely administered but are nurtured, empowered, and uplifted," Director Mahinay-Sero said.
She further urged everyone to be guided by the following Pillars of Good Governance: transparency, accountability, rule of law, participation, equity and inclusiveness, efficiency and effectiveness, and integrity for nurtured, empowered, and uplifted communities.
