The Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC), chaired by the Department of Agriculture Region XII (DA XII), conducted an ELCAC-PRLEC meeting on June 13, 2024, at the DA XII Conference Room, Prime Regional Government Center, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato. The meeting aimed to discuss the implementation plan for the proposed 88 kilometers of Farm to Market Roads (FMRs) within the ELCAC target barangays in Region 12.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, through its Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter ELCAC DILG-led Clusters Meeting held on May 30-31, 2024 at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
This two-day event brought together various member agencies and Provincial Task Forces to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) to discuss key milestones, issues, concerns, and plans aimed at supporting communities affected by the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).
Koronadal City, June 12, 2024 – In a momentous event coinciding with the World Day Against Child Labor and the 126th Philippine Independence Day, the Department of the Interior and local Government XII joined the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 12, in collaboration with various government agencies, in the conduct of the "Araw ng Kalayaan Para sa Batang Malaya" at the KCC Convention Center in Koronadal City.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Regional Tobacco Control Network (RTCN) meeting at Agua Frio Resort, Koronadal City, South Cotabato last June 11, 2024.
Hosted by the Department of Health - Center for Health and Development (DOH CHD) SOCCSKSARGEN Region, the activity saw attendance from various line agencies committed to strengthening tobacco control measures in the region. DILG XII was represented by Development Management Officer III Ana Louwel V. Cabrido of the Local Government Capability and Development Division.
In a bid to promote a healthy and safe environment through effective solid waste management, the nationwide community-based clean-up drive program, BarKaDa, continues to make significant strides. This initiative is in line with the DILG Memorandum Circular Number 2023-133, issued on September 6, 2023, which underscores the importance of Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa).
Now in its 22nd week, the program is highlighting the efforts of Kalawag II in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, as part of the Rehiyon Dose region's ongoing participation. The community's dedication was emphasized by Punong Barangay Rene F. Aristoza, who delivered a message of commitment.
