To ensure the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women in the region, DILG, in partnership with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) conducted the Basic Gender and Development (GAD) Orientation to the members of the DILG GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) and selected DILG XII regional office personnel on March 31 – June 1, 2017 at Paraiso Verde Hotel, Koronadal City. 

The activity was graced by the OIC Assistant Regional Director Lailyn A. Ortiz, CESE in behalf of the Regional Director Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV.

Following the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao, the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) XII through the chairmanship of Governor Pax S. Mangudadatu of Sultan Kudarat convened to discuss the security measures of the authorities in the Region, and to come up with a collaborative efforts in addressing related issues.

The special meeting was held on May 29, 2017 at the King’s Hall, Provincial Office, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, and was attended by all members including guests from the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) XII, and all the AFP and Philippine Marines Battalions Commanders assigned in Region XII.

1.    The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the General Appropriation Act FY 2016 intends to apply the sum of Four Million Nine Hundred Forty Three Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty One Pesos and Forty centavos (Php 4,943,821.40) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for Construction of DILG Sarangani Provincial Office Building.  Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.

The DILG Regional Office in coordination with its Provincial Offices spearheaded the conduct of the Operation L!STO Provincial Preparedness and Partnership Dialogue on April 6, 2017 for Sarangani, April 11, 2017 for Sultan Kudarat, April 27-28, 2017 for Cotabato and May 4, 2017 for South Cotabato.

After the thorough SGLG assessment and validation, Reynaldo M. Bungubung, CESO IV, DILG Regional Director , spearheaded the conferment of the 2015 SGLG Post-Compliance markers to the following LGUs, viz: 

Province: 

1.    Sarangani
2.    Sultan Kudarat City
3.    Koronadal

Municipality:

4.    Antipas
5.    Pigcawayan
6.    Maasim
7.    Malungon
8.    T’boli
9.    Esperanza
10.    Kalamansig

The markers were conferred as a result  of passing the 2015  indicators which were assessed during the 2016 SGLG implementation.
