DILG 12 joins the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XII in its annual celebration of the National Disaster Consciousness Month (NDCM) this month of July, 2016. In the Kick-Off Ceremony conducted on July 1, 2016, the RDRRMC XII, in partnership with the PDRRMC of South Cotabato, conducted a Motorcade followed by a Media Briefing at Fred Ann’s, Koronadal City.

This year’s NDCM theme is “Kahandaan at Pagtugon sa Sakuna, Tungkulin ng Bawat Isa”. The theme encourages all the sectors of the society to take part in the various activities of the LGUs and NGAs relative to disaster preparedness and response. Activities lined-up by the Council for the Celebration are: Tree Growing and Coastal Clean-Up; Draw and Tell Contest for Elementary and Essay Writing Contest for High School Students; and Flood Summit among others.
